golden milk

An ancient Indian turmeric tea also known as golden milk belongs to Ayurvedic medicine. It’s both healthy and  tasty and can be enjoyed by a whole family every day. It’s ideal for winter since you can easily make many variations of a warming up golden mil from it.

Turmeric is a spice and a natural food supplement with great health benefits:

anti-oxidative properties

promotes digestion

boosts immunity

eases joint pain and arthritis

sooths various skin conditions

Use turmeric’s full potential:

Add it to other foods like rice or preparing a turmeric tea

Combine it with black pepper to increase its absorbtion

Prepare a paste of turmeric first, which you can use for other dishes and even skin care.tumeric paste

Turmeric Paste

1/2 cup of water

1/4 cup of turmeric powder

1/2 teaspoon of ground black pepper

Mix all ingredients in a small pot. Bring to boil and then cook for about 8 minutes while stirring. It will form a smooth paste. Place it in a glass or plastic air-tied container. You can store it in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. Bear in mind that tumeric leaves stains on clothes as well as plastic. I place mine in a glass container like this. pasta z kurkumy
