Parsley is also well suited for drinking. My next parsley recipe is a freshening drink that literally bursts with vitamin C. Ginger promotes digestion. The parsley drink tastes best after a workout!
I’ve mentioned that a table spoon of chopped parsley covers recommended daily allowance for vitamin C in this post here.
Recipe: Freshening Drink With Parsley, Lime And Ginger
Preparation time: 5 minutes
Bunch of parsley
Small piece of ginger
1 glass of still water
Optionally – a tbsp of brown sugar or coconut flower sugar
Blend parsley and a slice of ginger in a juicer. Don’t be surprised with a very small amount of juice. Believe me, it has a very intense in flavor.
Then put a glass of water into a vessel of your juicer, stir well and then pour all back into the glass. This is to make sure that you get all of the parsley leaves out.
Press the juice from half a lime, stir and drink.
I drink it unsweetened, but if you like you can add a tablespoon of brown or coconut flower sugar.
This drink can also be prepared in a blender by straining it through a sieve in order to keep the parsley leftovers away.
