What a gorgeous idea has some creative being had! :-)
If you happen to be in the Alps, either around the river Saalach region of Lofer in Austria or in Bad Reichenhal in Germany, I would highly recommend you making a trip to a valley called Aschauer Klamm.
Our most visited place in the Alps is Upper Bavaria, since it is where Tiger comes from. This means that each time we are down there we go on a hiking trip. It has already become our ritual :-) And this I mean seriously, we go for at least a walk in a forest, no matter what the weather is like.
Regarding the weather, we didn’t have much luck during our autumn stay in Bavaria, but decided to use every non-rainy hour to go into the nature. And so we chose Aschauer Klamm. There are variations to this path, however the trip we did took us about 1.5 hours. It turned out to be a truly charming hike along the Aschauer Bach brook.
This is the route we took. We drove by car from Bad Reichenhal on road 21 towards Schneizlreuth, then left onto a road 305 and then turned right following the Eisbach brook and finally parked at the end of the white road (see below or if the map for some reason doesn’t load simply click here.
Walking up and down on our way to the Saalach riverbank
The surface was a bit slippery due to the many rainy days
Got you! ;-)
Surely a happy bee
Unfortunately, mid September turned out to be out of the main season — when the restaurant and a beer garden Haiderhof are closed on Mondays
Nevertheless, we saw some stunning animals there
So it looks like there really is something to the black sheep!…
